REPLACE YOUR TEETH
We understand that you may feel embarrassed about your appearance when you have teeth missing or that you may struggle to eat certain foods.
We want you to have the confidence that your new teeth will perform well and let you enjoy life. Whether you are missing a single tooth or multiple teeth we can provide you with a secure and natural looking solution.
Implants
Implants are titanium screws that are placed in your jaw, onto which a porcelain crown or implant denture is attached. This makes it possible to permanently replace missing teeth without affecting the adjacent teeth. It may be one implant to replace a single missing tooth, or multiple implants if more teeth are missing teeth. Dental implants are the closest thing to having natural teeth and can often be the best solution for secure, long term replacement of missing teeth. Read more about dental implants here.
Implant retained dentures
Implants placed permanently into your jaw act like teeth roots onto which your denture is securely attached. This means that your denture does not move around or come out which can happen with traditional dentures especially over time. Dentures which are held in place by implants can be fixed permanently or may be removable. As the teeth are held in place by the implants denture fixative is not required and many people describe a sense of freedom and confidence knowing that their teeth are secure.
A dental bridge may be the solution if you have one or more teeth missing and don’t want to wear a partial denture. A bridge may be fixed or removable and is held in place by the teeth on either side. Read more on bridges, including before and after photos here.
Fibre reinforced composite bridge
As an exciting alternative to traditional bridgework we also offer fibre reinforced composite bridges. The process involves bonding a new tooth to adjacent teeth by means of fibre strands. This non-invasive alternative removes the need for drilling of the neighbouring teeth as is required with more conventional bridgework. The restoration may be completed in one visit and can be a cost effective alternative to more traditional bridge techniques.A reversible treatment which can be an excellent choice for bridgework at the front of the mouth and can also be used to stabilise loose teeth.
Dentures
Dentures are used to replace missing teeth and can be either ‘partial’ to replace just a few teeth or ‘full’ if you are missing all of your teeth. They may be fully removable as the more traditional denture, or retained by implants which make them extremely secure. The teeth can be designed in a uniform manner to be the perfect smile you may have always wanted, or they can be crafted in a more natural style with little differences in the shape of teeth or the inclusion of small imperfections.
