The Inman Aligner is a fantastic, simple and hassle-free way of straightening your front teeth. It is the orthodontic treatment of choice for adult relapse and is often a faster and cheaper alternative to Invisalign. We also offer clear aligners which are a type of invisible brace. As time goes by your teeth tend to shift sometimes causing your front top and bottom teeth to become crooked. In the past anyone with crooked teeth has had only a few choices. Fixed braces and clear braces work well but are slow and can also be costly. Because of this many people choose to have porcelain veneers instead. This often involves heavy drilling of the teeth to get them into the right position first. As a result many patients choose to do nothing and just live with it.
The Inman Aligner is not just an orthodontic appliance. Many cosmetic dentists are calling it the "missing link between orthodontics and cosmetic dentistry". It has also been described as the "Greatest Innovation in Cosmetic Dentistry since the porcelain veneer".
Dr Hewitt was the first qualified Inman Aligner dentist in the region and as such has gained a great deal of experience and success with patients using this device. Not every case is possible and of course there are limitations, but if you are suitable you could get a fantastic smile in a matter of weeks and at far less cost.
"Having the Inman Aligner to straighten my upper front teeth, which I have been embarrassed about for over thirty years, has had a hugely positive effect on me. To experience this kind of rapid solution to my longstanding problem, without the need for extracting healthy teeth, and with no pain, has been a dream come true. After just eight weeks I was already very satisfied with the re-alignment and would have settled for that, but a few more weeks of wear has given me an excellent result. Some of my friends were sceptical about the treatment before I started - now they are amazed how effective and easy the procedure has been and are even thinking of trying it for themselves!"

The Inman Aligner applies a gentle pressure to the teeth that need to be moved into a better position. This gentle process is provided by the spring action of the appliance. The components of the appliance work together to "squeeze" teeth together by pushing and pulling them into alignment.
Once your teeth are corrected the Inman Aligner works like a retainer and holds them in place.
You will require an assessment by Dr Hewitt who will be happy to discuss your needs and advise you whether the Inman Aligner is right for you. If you would like to come in for a free consultation with Dr Hewitt please contact us.
